Q & A

How would you describe your therapy style?

My therapy style is direct yet compassionate. I will push you to go beneath the surface of what you present to others to discover the why behind your behavior. I want to help you to understand the patterns in your life and change the things that aren’t working, lean into the things that are and find the perfect middle ground for you and your lifestyle.

What types of clients to you work best with?

I work best with clients who have an open mind. If you come into therapy thinking that you have it all figured out and there’s nothing left to learn the journey might be difficult. If you are open to learning new things about yourself, pushing yourself and exploring what you can discover along the way we will have no problem working together! This isn’t to say things will always be easy or you’ll come in each week ready to dig in but just being open and admitting when you’re struggling with being open or pushing yourself is a great start!

What books have made the biggest impact on your life?

Five Days at Memorial, Maybe You Should Talk to Someone, Good Morning Monster. The last two books are written by therapists and have themes of therapy in them, but I’ve had none therapist friends read them and they’ve enjoyed them a lot! I also have to give a special shout-out to the Harry Potter books for introducing me to the fantasy genre when I was in middle school. I’ve been a fan ever since!.
